Coffee Mornings

August, the month when our club would be visited for the first time by an external agency/organisation.  Simon and Steve attended the coffee morning on 7 Aug and briefed those present on the function of Op Courage, who can take advantage of their services, how to get referred and how it all works.  They then went on to describe their roles in the organisation and gave examples of the work that they do.  Following a Q&A session they both very kindly stayed on to answer more questions in smaller breakout groups.  A massive thank you to them both in making our first briefing session such a great success.

In terms of numbers attending the coffee mornings, there's still plenty of space for more people to come along.  Understanding that there are people out there who would like to attend but work on Fridays we are currently discussing the possibility of opening up for at least one Saturday morning per month as a trial.  Watch this space for more updates.

Charity Commission Registration

The documentation for the Charities Commission registration is just about complete. We now have the first three Trustees appointed and elected into the necessary roles, so we would hope to have the registration application submitted by the end of this month.
